Accommodations

Regnbue Havn is a fishing resort with a “touch of Norway” to make it fun for you and for us.  The sign at the entrance, the Trolls peeking at you from behind a tree, flowers in the window boxes nodding their greetings, rosemaling on the hytte (cottages), Scandinavian, German or folk music on Saturdays bid you Velkommen or Adjo.

Our resort is small, picturesque and quiet. Our three, 2-bedroom carpeted hytte are situated at lake level, each with a picture window to observe a sunrise, a Regnbue (rainbow), or moonlight reflecting off the water.  They are well-equipped for housekeeping and include dishes, utensils, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, bedding, toilet, shower and cable TV.  No personal towels or dishtowels are furnished.

Hummingbird feeders hang    in front of each picture window and need filling often!  Goldfinches, orioles and bluebirds add color and song.  The quiet grace of the heron stalking the shore adds to the wonder of an awesome dawn.

There is a large, level area    for lawn games which include horseshoes, bad-minton, croquet, and bocce ball.  Swimming in the havn (harbor) is fun for adults and children.  Pier fishing is relaxing for people who prefer chairs to boat seats.

The cry of the loon, the gentle clucking of the mother duck, the chorus of frogs and the lapping of the water are night sounds that linger long in a memory, especially when enjoyed by a campfire on the sugar sand beach.
